Over the past week, I have been able to research more in depth on topics regarding my project. I focused on a lot of the PR type stories, such as the men and women world cups and David Beckham coming to America. I have found varying opinions on the impact of these events, which should give me many points of view when writing my story.
Also, since I have not received feedback from CYSA, I have now been in talks with Carlisle YMCA, which runs the area sports leagues. I feel this is a better opportunity for me to present to the public and members of the leagues since I would be backed by a partner organization.
I have also generated a list of interview questions for my interviewees. Tomorrow, i will be gathering film at the middle school soccer game as well as interviewing two of the coaches. I have also made a parent permission form for one of the boys I want to interview as well.
