I have finally received all of the officer's responses! I can now get things underway as far as organizing the training manuals. The questions I asked each officer were to help me better understand what they already know as well as what they need to know about their position. One of the questions I asked was if they had any questions about their position, only one person did. However, I know for a fact very few of them are on task or schedule for the events we do. None of the officer positions have a job description; so, I find it hard to believe they know exactly what they are supposed to be doing without being told to do so. I am hoping that sitting down with each person individually, will cause them to ask questions.
I am in the process of scheduling these meetings. While I do so, I am going to be establishing position descriptions based on the responses I received as well as what our American Cancer Society/Colleges Against Cancer Staff Partner suggests. I know days are busy for everyone so as far as connecting with her, I am going to use email until she is able to visit SU.
Once I have all information I need, the only thing standing between me and completion of the project is putting the manuals together and implementing them.
