Sarah Smith - Week 4

This week, I met with Professor Witmer to discuss my magazine. Her feedback was really helpful and inspiring. It's helpful to know I'm on the right track, especially coming from a previous magazine editor. I was pretty excited to hear that it looks great.

I've heard numerous professors and friends tell me I should publish my magazine. I'm looking into sending it to Kinko's in Harrisburg. I'm told that's the only place that will publish just one issue of a magazine. It sounds like it should be relatively inexpensive, another plus!

I have started the editing process. It will be a long one and it's difficult to do on the computer, rather than printed out and in paper, but that's a lot of ink! Getting simple edits finished is my goal for this week, with any major edits and last minute things within the next few weeks.

I'll also need to create a back cover page. Typically, these are ads, but since I didn't include ads, it can be just about anything. Picking the perfect photo that summarizes the magazine seems hard because it covers so many topics, so I'm hoping something will come to me and strike me as the perfect solution.

All the content is finished. I need two more photos for my food section, which means I'll be cooking in the upcoming weeks.

Everything is going as planned. I'm pretty excited at the progress and that everything is coming together as I planned.
