After meeting with Dr. Sipes about my proposal, I have a better understanding of what I need to focus on. The main thing being my objectives and goals. While I have several different goals, I need to go back and evaluate which of these goals are Feasible and determine which ones I can prove I was successful at completing at the end of the semester.
I have begun to organize a survey that will be used to get a better understanding of what members of WSYC would like to see in a website. Although, after talking to Dr. Sipes, I may look at organizing a focus group, instead of just handing out random surveys to different people. I am starting to like the focus group idea a lot more after talking about it with Dr. Sipes.
During fall break, I will continue doing research for the social media guidelines I want to put together, mainly concentrating on the ethics of the guidelines, which I will need to focus on the most. I will also look into different web site templates. I have looked at Adobe Muse, which is currently in beta and would be ready for the spring, but I will research other website design templates that will be easy for anyone to use.
