After putting together my project proposal and talking with Dr. Sipes I was able to better clarify where I am heading with the training manuals. I need to go back through my proposal and define my objectives so they are measurable as well as add tactics for how I am going to measure their success.
Now it is time to get the ball rolling on my research. The first stages of this project are going to require me to set up meetings with each Colleges Against Cancer officer and find out what they know about their current position, what they do not understand and what concerns they have. Once I meet with each officer I will create questionnaires and surveys to better define the materials that will make up the manuals.
Yesterday I sent out an email to set up the initial meetings and hope to conduct them all by October 15. Over break I am going to being forming questions for the interviews as well as for the questionnaires.
Once I have all the officer/position research done I will be able to start designing, typing and putting together the manuals.
