Getting the project off the ground has had its ups and downs. In the past week, I have been able to become better organized.
I have contact Bryan Herr, General Manager of WSYC and Brenden Beckos, the Human Resource Director, and described what the project was about and I am looking to have a discussion with all of the officers in every department (music, sports, news) or each individually to give them a better understanding of what I want to present to them. I also want to get insight from them on what they believe should be included in the guidelines as well as features with the website. I will also read over the current Constitution at WSYC as part of my research. I also plan to talk to Dr. Carlin, the adviser for the station, about the project.
I have been putting together a draft of the guidelines, while I continue to conduct research on what is important to have in the guidelines. Determining what is important to have in the guidelines is challenging, especially since I may run into points where one part contradicts the other.
